Daryl Rumple

Daryl H. Rumple, 56, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Nov. 21, 1960 in Elkin, North Carolina, son of Forest and Vonda Weatherman Rumple. He and Glinda Boston Bartlett were married Oct. 10, 2006 in Cape Girardeau.

Daryl was a graduate of Elkin High School. He attended Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from Feb. 1983 to July, 1992. His service included Operation Desert Shield/Storm. The past ten years, he worked as a Nuclear Med Tech at Southeast Hospital. He enjoyed golfing in his spare time.

Loving survivors include his wife Glinda Bartlett of Jackson; his mother Vonda Lewis of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; three sons, Paul Bartlett of California, Mark Bartlett of Jackson, and Matthew Bartlett of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a brother Michael Rumple of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to service time, Saturday, March 4, 2017, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sat. Mar. 4, 2107, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev Ed Rothenberger officiating. Full military honors will be provided at the Funeral Home.

Interment is private at a later date, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
