Daryn Eric Brooks

Daryn Eric Brooks, 58, of Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at his residence in Cape Girardeau.

He was born September 29, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of Don and Mary Allison Brooks.

Daryn grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating from Central High School and then from Southeast Missouri State University with degrees in Mass Communication and Creative Writing. He was a talented musician and song writer. He loved playing his guitar and singing.

Loving survivors include two brothers, Don Brooks Jr. and wife Pat of Cape Girardeau, Dimitrius Brooks and wife Lisa of Nixa, MO, two sisters, Francine Brooks-Coomer and husband Darrell of Scott City and Edna Brooks-McDowell and husband Tom of Cape Girardeau. Also surviving are ten nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held at a later date.
