David Mikal Allen

David Mikal Allen, 78, of Burfordville, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born November 17, 1946, in Cape Girardeau County, to Clarence and Noma Crites Allen. He and Donna Conrad were married June 25, 1966, at the Whitewater Presbyterian Church north of Sedgewickville.

David was a 1964 graduate of Patton High School. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy from May 28, 1964, to November 16, 1967.

David’s employment included working over 20 years at Coca Cola in Jackson; C & G Feed in Fruitland; and Buchheit Trucking in Scott City.

David avidly hunted deer and turkey. He enjoyed working in his shop, going to auctions, and camping.

Loving survivors include his wife of 59 years, Donna Allen of Burfordville; sons, Ron (Kim) Allen and Terry (Theresa) Allen, all of Patton; grandchildren, Chris Allen, Lorryn Allen, Austin Allen; siblings: Elouise Forrest of St. Louis; Helen (late Cloyd) Cook of Marble Hill; Marilyn (Donald) Mayfield of Jackson; Debbie (late Bob) Freund of Jackson; Martin (late Joletta and Roberta) Allen of Daisy; Roy (Sue) Allen of Patton; Tom (Tandra) Allen of Jackson; and Donna’s surviving siblings, Debra Poindexter of Perryville and Martin (Rhonda) Conrad of Sedgewickville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marie Ruester; and Donna’s brother, Terry (Mary Lou) Conrad.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to service time, Friday, October 17, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Charles Mangels will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Military honors and interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
