Dean Edward Newman, 85, of Jackson passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born September 18,1938, in Hugo, Oklahoma, son of Bill and Opal Collins Newman. He and Jane Smith were married June 10, 1960. Dean was a member of the Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson. Loving survivors include his wife, Jane Newman of Jackson; two sons, Todd (Jenny) Newman of Jackson and Ron (Angie) Newman of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren, Kendal Newman of Celina, Texas, Michael, Christopher and Emily Newman all of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy Newman. The visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson. Gary Miller will conduct the memorial service at 2 pm, Saturday, at the church. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Children's home of Paragould.
