Dianna "D.K" (Jones) Schlitt

Dianna K. “D.K.” Schlitt, 53, of Jackson passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at her home.

She was born Dec. 9, 1965, in Cape Girardeau the daughter of Larry and Jane Jacobs Jones. She and Jim Schlitt were married July 26, 1990.

Dianna grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1984. She was a devoted wife, mom and “Memaw.” Dianna enjoyed bowling, dancing, music and being outdoors. Anyone she met knew right away that she had a keen sense of humor. Her biggest joy in life were her kids and grandkids, and she hosted many family parties.

Loving survivors include her husband Jim Schlitt of Jackson; two sons, Justin W. Jones and Clayton A. (Kara) Schlitt, both of Jackson; a daughter, Tiffany J. Schlitt of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Brad (Jaime) Jones and Eugene Jones, both of Cape Girardeau; s ix grandchildren, Jackson Jones, Juliette Jones, Ava Schlitt, Fletcher Schlitt, Scarlett Schlitt and Hogan Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 1 p.m. to service time, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Rothenberger officiating.

Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
