Dianna Lee (Watkins) Morton

Dianna Lee Morton, age 79, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born January 17, 1941 in Granite City, Illinois the daughter of Leroy and Thelma May Kurre Watkins. She and Ronald Raymond Morton married April 17, 1960. He passed away April 27, 2011.

Dianna was a graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau. She worked as a cashier for Cape Central High School cafeteria for several years. Dianna also volunteered for many years at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include her three children, Scott (Cheryl) Morton of Bourbon, Missouri; Cindy Graham of Jackson; and Dawn (John) Halter of Florida; 7 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.Also surviving are a brother, John (Janet) Watkins of St. Louis, Missouri and a sister, Mary Kay (Bob) Lohmeier of Cape Girardeau.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:30 am, at Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Diabetes Association.
