Dorothy L. Holzum

Dorothy L. Holzum, 95, of Jackson, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 18, 1931, to the late Ernst and Virginia (Masterson) Seabaugh in Alexander County, IL. She married the late Vernon J. Holzum in 1949. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1971.

She was survived by her four children, Sharon (Elvis) Wildermuth, Mike Holzum and Irene, Sheilah (Ron) Smith, and Mark (Susan) Holzum; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Virginia; and her husband, Vernon J. Holzum; two grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters; one son-in-law, and a half sister.

A private service was held on October 17, 2026, with burial at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
