Edna Jolene Carroll

Edna J. “Jolene” Carroll, 82, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 10, 1943, in Bollinger County, to Luther Raymond and Polly James Cook. She was a graduate of Cape Central High School.

Jolene and Roy D. Carroll were married February 27, 1967, in Chaffee. Jolene was a homemaker. In later years, she and Roy enjoyed going to the local farmer’s markets.

Loving survivors include her husband, Roy Carroll of Jackson; daughter, Amy (Brian) Hester of Millersville; three grandsons, Quentin Hester of Cape Girardeau, Clayton Hester of Colorado, and Shelten Hester of Millersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, January 12, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will conduct the funeral service at noon, Monday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.
