Ellen Marie (Cutright) Mayfield

Ellen Marie Mayfield, 81, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born September 23, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Hollie Robert and Lucille Thorn Cutright Sr.

Ellen worked at the International Shoe Factory in Jackson and later the hat factory in Marble Hill. She liked to watch the cooking channel and collect cook books.

Loving survivors include four children, Jeff (Lora) Mayfield of Cape Girardeau, Greg (Mary Ann) Mayfield of Jackson, Carla (Kurt) LaFaire of Marble Hill and Karen (Ken) Condict of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren Hayley and Megan Mayfield, Derek and David LaFaire, April (Brian) Maloney, Missy (Damien) Davis, Meghan Allen and Kayla (Raymond) Mattingly; 10 great grandchildren and a sister, Rose (Jimmie) Marberry of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Craig Mayfield; three siblings, Margaret Ann Sample, Colleen Thorn and Hollie Robert Cutright Jr. and special friend Lee Nanney.

Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM until service time at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
