Erick Robert Schoenberg

Erick Robert Schoenberg, 62, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at his home in Jackson.

He was born August 2, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Herbert Robert and Nancy C. Lindberg Schoenberg.  He and Dawn Haines were married November 26, 1994, at First United Methodist Church in St. Charles, Missouri.

Erick attended college at SEMO in Cape Girardeau.  Erick loved his maintenance job at Pratt Industries in Jackson and previously enjoyed working at Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau.

Erick and Dawn were members of Centenary Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Erick was a staunch conservative, and as an Eagle Scout, loved everything outdoors - hunting anything, fishing, and gardening vegetables.

Loving survivors include his wife of nearly 28 years, Dawn Schoenberg of Jackson; three children, Ericka (Kurtis) Shrum of Springfield, Missouri, Jonathon Schoenberg of Jackson, and Courtney (Austin) Kessler of Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico; their Corgi, Bailey; a brother, Rob (April) Schoenberg of Olathe, Kansas; his mother-in-law, Dorris (the late John) Haines of St. Charles; and a brother-in-law, Jim Haines of St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2022, and from 9 a.m. to service time, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Pastor Ben Chapman will conduct the funeral at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the funeral home.
