Evelyn Ann (Curtiss) Oxley

Evelyn Ann Oxley, 71, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 due to Congestive Heart Failure at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born to Nellie Mae Curtiss on, September 1, 1951, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Evelyn worked at Florsheim Shoe before starting her career at Procter and Gamble, after retirement she worked at Jackson Wal - Mart and Emory's in Fruitland. She was an avid Cardinals fan, loved the beach, gardening, animals and antique hunting. Above all she treasured time with her family the most. Loving survivors include two children Heather (Joe) Grojean of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Nathan Oxley of Jackson; two grandchildren Maya and Blake Grojean of Cape Girardeau. Also surviving are a brother, Don Henderson and a niece Diane Ogden of Bay Minette, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Card, her mother and former husband, Terry "T.K" Oxley. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to service time, Monday, October 24, 2022, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Rev. Janet Hopkins will conduct the funeral service at 6 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2022 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau or to Ocean Conservancy at oceanconservancy.org.
