Fern Olive (Crader) Lange

Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Fern Olive Lange, 88, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born September 16, 1931 in the State of Kansas, daughter of Columbus F. “Lum” and Cora R. Nelson Crader.  She and Richard F. Lange were married January 15, 1947, in Arkansas.

Fern was a graduate of Jackson High School. She worked for Todt Industrial for 20 years and in 1980 she became the owner operator of Capaha Realty in Cape Girardeau. She was a founding member of the Cape Girardeau County Multi Listing Service and also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, Department 56 Villages, and she really enjoyed her dogs. Fern was a very kind, compassionate and happy person, who took delight in assisting others.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Katie) Lange of Cape Girardeau; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren, Tracy Adams, Kaylee and Taylor Sweat.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years and her parents.

There will be no services at this time.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Saxony Lutheran High School.
