Freda Joan James

Freda Joan James, age 75, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Hubble Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

On December 27, 1950 in Oran, MO she was born to the late Joel C. and Margie Collins Seabaugh.

She was a 1969 graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, MO.

Joan married the love of her life, Douglas M. James, on December 14, 1969, in Jackson, MO.

Before her retirement, Joan had worked for the St. Francis Medical Center as an anesthesiologist technician for 25 years.

In addition to her husband Douglas, she is survived by one son: Michael Dean James of IL, three brothers: Leonard & Julie Seabaugh of Canyon Lake, TX, Kevin & Cheryl Seabaugh of Jackson, MO, Terry & Barb Seabaugh of Ragley, LA; four sisters: Ether Henderson of Maryville, IL, Barbara Williamson of Jackson, MO, Jackie Quade of Jackson, MO. Thelma Flowers & John Morrison of Oakridge, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joel and Margie; five brothers: Emmett Seabaugh, Joel David Seabaugh, Donald Wilson Seabaugh, Harry Dale Seabaugh, and Marlin Eldridge Seabaugh; two infant sisters: Judith Ann and Sally Seabaugh.

There are currently no services scheduled at this time.

A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
