Gary William Evans

Gary William Evans, 82, of Jackson passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his home.

He was born August 17, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of William R. and Lillian Robinson Evans. He and Phyllis Embrey were married January 19, 1963, in Fairview, Missouri.

Gary's family was everything to him. He was the owner and operator of All American Transmission for 35 years.

Loving survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Evans of Jackson; sons, Bill (Angie) Evans of Jackson and Mike (Kelly) Evans of Gordonville; daughter, Katie (Tim) Hill of High Ridge, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kaci Jo Evans of Jackson, Cody Evans of Altenburg and Myranda Hill of Cape Girardeau; and great-grandson, Summit Evans-Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ed Evans; and a sister, Penny Whittenburg.

Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. There will be no services

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
