Georgia Wessel

Georgia Dean Wessel, 68, of Gordonville passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home.

She was born November 21, 1949, in Chaffee, daughter of William and Joetta Proctor Myers. She and John William Wessel were married October 24, 1987.

Georgia was a 1967 graduate of Elcliminte High School in Elcliminte, California. She was employed several years in the financial industry in California, Missouri and Illinois retiring in 2000. Georgia was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Loving survivors include her husband John, two children, Bill Myers and Will Myers both of Chaffee; three step children Wendy Seabaugh of Jackson, Josh (Michelle) Wessel of Cape Girardeau and Matt Wessel of St. Louis; and three step grandchildren and one brother Billy (Diana) Myers of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018 from 10:00 AM until service time at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Funeral service will be Friday, at 1:00 PM, at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gordonville.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Siteman Cancer Center of St. Louis or Zion Lutheran Church.
