Gina Elizabeth "LIZ" Reisenbichler, 61, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her home in Pocahontas.

Liz was born November 14, 1964, in Perryville, Missouri, to Robert and Carolyn Carter King. She was a 1983 graduate of Cape Central High School.

Liz married Daniel R. Reisenbichler July 7, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, where Liz previously taught Bible study and served as the secretary of the congregation.

Liz was a former secretary at Southeast Missouri State University, Southeast Hospital, and the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.

She loved animals and enjoyed watching birds, reading, baking, cooking, and flower gardening.

To cherish her memory, Liz leaves her husband of 18 years, Danny Reisenbichler of Pocahontas; her children, Sasha (Jamala) Garmon and Mitchell “Buddy” Smies, both of Cape Girardeau; Danny’s children, Ryan (Melissa) Medlin, Leah (Derek) Hayman, Emily Reisenbichler, and Nathan (Christine) Reisenbichler, all of Jackson; her siblings, Robert Bruce, (late Kim) King of Cape Girardeau, Karen (Darrell) Kuntze a Fruitland; Danny’s mother, Rita Reisenbichler (Art) Edwards; and Danny’s brother, Revis (Teresa) Reisenbichler, all of Pocahontas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and Danny’s father, Dillman Reisenbichler.

Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. The Rev. Virgil Kelm will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
