Glenn Edward Brown, 66, of Jackson passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 1, 1948 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Leo and Leona Omega Randel Brown. He and Linda Gail Romine were married February 14, 1987 in Belleview, Missouri
Glenn's family moved to south St. Louis in 1951 and moved to the Lutesville area in 1962. He graduated from Woodland High School in May 1967.
In 1969 Glenn was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam with the 299th Combat Engineers attached to the 4th Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged March 1971.
When Glenn returned to Lutesville, he served one year as a deputy sheriff in Bollinger County. He then started a career as a field construction boilermaker, retiring in 1993 due to health.
Glenn was a member of the West View Masonic Lodge #103 in Millersville.
Loving survivors include his wife of 28 years, Linda; a brother, Loyd Bethel Brown of Arnold, Missouri; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Randell Eugene "Gene" Brown, Robert Lee Brown, and Charles Lenard Brown; and two sisters, Juanita McGee and Loveda Davis.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday, July 10, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 PM on Thursday by the Millersville Westview #103 Masonic Lodge.
A memorial service will be at 11 AM, Friday, July 10, 2015, at the funeral home, with Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.
Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Wounded Warriors Project or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
