Gloria "Earlene" Lunsford, 71, of Jackson passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her home. She was born January 13, 1953, in Kennett, Missouri, daughter of John and Oma Gattis Barks. Earlene attended New Bethel Baptist Church. Loving survivors include a daughter, Julie Weakley of Jackson; a son Jerry (Rachel) Broshuis of Jackson; three grandchildren, Angel Olson, Jerod and Logan Broshuis all of Jackson; brother, Gene Barks of Alton, Illinois; three half-brothers Roy, Glen, and Jimmy Simmons; and long-time boyfriend, Ted Farrow. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Evalene Collins; sister, Carol Lincoln; and two half-sisters, Francis Nations and Wilma Hovis. Memorial visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Friday, August 16, 2024, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Memorial service will be at 10:30am on Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Zac Rohman officiating. Burial will be in New Bethal Cemetery in Pocahontas. The family suggests that contributions be made to New Bethel Baptist Church.
