Gregory J. Pleimann, 77, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born March 3, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Walter and Amalia Pleimann. He and Nancy Adams were married November 11, 1966. Greg moved to the area in 1973 to work at St. Francis Medical Center as the Chief Financial Officer, where he retired in 2003. Greg always wanted a farm. Lazy P Ranch was started with his wife Nancy. They started out with cattle in 1974 and eventually moved in to crops too. Greg did what he could, supervising and overseeing. The farm had them active in 4-H through their children and grandchildren. Greg loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends and watching his grandsons in sports, cattle showing, farming, or whatever they were doing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Timon Council #6405 in Jackson. Greg and Nancy were longtime members o f Immaculate Conception Parish in Jackson before moving to Oak Ridge in 2004. There they were members of St. Maurus parish in Biehle. Loving survivors include his wife of 55 years Nancy, daughter Barb (Paul) Reininger, Fenton, MO, son Steve (Tammy)Pleimann, Oak Ridge, MO, grandsons Chris (Brittany) Reininger, Brandon Pleimann, Caleb Reininger, and Adam (Machela) Pleimann, great grandchildren Destiny and Gus, siblings Walter (Toni) Pleimann, Mary Lou Pleimann, Judith Pleimann - Kirk, and Carol (David) Clausen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ursula Muehlhauser. He was truly a good and faithful servant to God and a great son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend to everyone. A Celebration of Life/Memorial mass will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Crown Hospice.
