Grover Hogan Jr

Grover “Sonny” Lee Hogan Jr., 68, of Perryville passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis.

He was born September 19, 1956, in Perryville, son of Grover L. and Jean Tucker Hogan.

Sonny was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also a dedicated family man.

Loving survivors include his children, Nikki Hogan of Perryville, Heidi Hussey of St. Louis, Dakota “Cody” Hogan of Jackson and Dailie Hogan of Perryville; a granddaughter, Jaylynne Hogan; six sisters, Brenda (Randy) Meyer of Uniontown, Sandra (the late Bobby) Petzoldt of Jackson, Connie (Ronald) Esselman of Perryville, Bonnie (Mark) Poindexter of North Carolina, Lanitta (Terry) Berkbigler of Friedheim and Laurie (Steve) Bolen of Friedheim; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad Grover Hogan Sr; his former wife, Lisa Hogan Grubbs; and a nephew, Jason Sandlin.

Cremation arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. There will be no services.

The family suggests that contributions be made to The ALS foundation.
