Helen Lee Seabaugh, 84, of Jackson passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at her home.
She was born on April 5, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Herman and Roberta Gross Southard. She and Ardell Seabaugh were married on April 29, 1962, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. They were married 56 years when he passed away on September 28, 2018.
Helen was a Jackson High School graduate. Together she and Ardell owned and operated a gas station and also purchased a farm in Bollinger County. She worked at the shoe factory, Lee Rowan in the packaging department and St. Francis Medical Center in housekeeping. Helen enjoyed flower gardening, exploring garage sales for treasures and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Loving survivors include her two children, Terry (Laura) Seabaugh and Traci (Jim) Foltz both of Sedgewickville; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Garrett Seabaugh both of Dickinson, North Dakota, Mandie (Brent) Presser of Jackson, Dalton (Lauren) Foltz of Patton, Ryan (Mikayla) Foltz, Alexander "Bert" Foltz, Bethany Foltz, and Isabella Foltz, all of Sedgewickville; 12 great-grandchildren, Cole Seabaugh, Joanie Presser, Luke, Lane, Payton, Allison, Scarlett, Laikyn, Grant, Louis, Lynlie and Casen Foltz; and a sister, Cathy Coduti of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ardell; parents; and a brother, Ray Southard.
The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Ryan Foltz will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the family for a scholarship fund. Donations made payable to Traci Foltz.
