Howard Overbeck

Howard William Overbeck, 88, of Gordonville, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2026.

He was born to the late Edwin Overbeck and Anna (Springel) Overbeck in Gordonville, MO. On March 23, 1963 he was married to Christine Duren at Zion Methodist Church in Gordonville, MO.

Howard loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, gardening, cooking and time spent with his family. He was a loving husband, dad, and papa. There is nothing he loved more than time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. He was a proud papa.

He was survived by his wife of 63 years, Christine; Sons, Howard Overbeck, Jr. of Perryville and Robert (Rhonda) Overbeck of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Angela (Joe) Mosley of Gordonville; Grandchildren, James, Josh, Kayla, and Joseph; Great-grandchild, Bella; and Brother, David Overbeck, Gordonville,

Preceded in death by his Son, Roger Overbeck.

Visitation will be on Friday August 14, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Zion Methodist Church, 3652 State Highway Z, Gordonville, MO 63701, with Funeral Service following at 11:00am. Interment will be at Zion Methodist Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Zion Methodist Church or to McCombs Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
