Ivan Lee Reimann, 89, of Jackson, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. The family is grateful to the staff at Life Care Center for their professionalism and the attentive care given to Ivan.
Ivan was born August 26, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, to Charles H. and Wilma Exler Reimann Jr. He grew up with a strong connection to the family farm, a place that would remain an important part of his life for generations. His love of farming began at an early age, as he owned his first cow when he was just three years old.
Ivan graduated from Jackson High School in 1955. On September 8, 1960, he enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably until his discharge on September 8, 1962. While stationed at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia, he met the love of his life, Luona Fetterman. The two were married there on August 26, 1962. Following their military service, they returned to the Reimann family farm near Oriole, where they built their life together and raised their three daughters. Their marriage spanned 60 years, until Luona’s passing on December 16, 2022.
Farming remained a lifelong passion for Ivan, but in 1969, he began working at Procter & Gamble, where he dedicated 30 years before retiring in 1999. Through the years, he balanced his work with his enduring ties to the farm and the family he and Luona cherished. Together, they were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Ivan’s greatest legacy lives on through his family. He is lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Barb (Tony) Bailey of Marble Hill; Cindy (Terry) Kuehn of Jackson; and Pattie (David) McGaha of St. Simons Island, Georgia; six grandchildren, Sherry (Travis) Friga, Curt (Rebecca) Kuehn, Summer Hannah, Peyton (Dillon) Tankersley, Tori (Nick) Griesenauer, and Jack McGaha; and eight great-grandchildren, Meredith, Nolan, Avery, McKinzey, Maverick, Morgan, Wyatt, and Charlie. He is also survived by his brother, Paul (Carol) Reimann of Cape Girardeau.
In addition to his beloved wife, Luona, Ivan was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jeannie May Reimann; grandson, Aaron Bailey; brother, Carl Reimann; a sister, Marie Huey and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be at 9 am Thursday at the funeral home with Rev.
