James Lynn Boyd

James Lynn Boyd, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

On June 11, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, MO, he was born to the late Thomas and Verna Seabaugh Boyd.

He married the love of his life, Robin Yamnitz on April 16, 1977, at the Lutheran Church in Sedgewickville, MO.

James had been in construction all his life. He had worked for various construction companies until he retired from Boulder Construction Company.

James loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and watching his grandchildren play sports, along with being a Nascar fan.

In addition to his wife Robin, he is survived by his son, Brandon (Erica) Boyd of Sedgewickville, MO; his daughter, Holly (Jason) Floyd of Millersville, MO; his two brothers: Jerry (Pam) Boyd of Patton, MO and John (Cathy) Boyd of Fruitland, MO; his sister: Janet (Chuck) Heady of Cape Girardeau, MO; his four grandchildren: Sydnie Floyd, Colt Floyd, Brissa Boyd, and Brooklyn Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Verna, sister Brenda Boyd, mother and father-in-law: Harold and Rose Yamnitz; sister-in-law Sheila Boyd; and many dear friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, MO from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Roethemeyer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sedgewickville, MO.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Boyd, Jason Floyd, Colt Floyd, Jerry Boyd, John Boyd, and Lance Bollinger.
