James Edmonds

James “Jim” Edmonds, 57, passed away in Cape Girardeau County, Saturday, July 23, 2022.

He was born in Cape Girardeau on November 25, 1964, to parents James and Vickie Edmonds.

Jim "Bucket" Edmonds was a greatly loved husband, dad, Pawpaw, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his "lovely bride" and wife of 34 years, Darla. Together they had a marriage that was full of family, adventure, laughter, love, and forgiveness; an admirable one that stood the test of time and Jim's mischievous behavior. She never knew what was going to come out of his mouth, but always knew it would be comical.

Jim also leaves behind a son, RV; daughter-in-law, Erin; and 3 grandsons, Brody, Jax and Jamo, who were his world. One sister, Sharon; and 2 brothers, Boyd (Sherry)and Jon (Tina). Mother-in-law, Shirley; and sister-in-law, Jeni. Nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Liz), Becky, Amelia, Sarah, Randy, Tyler, Shelby, Kyle and Nate. Also, many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

He was a Mason and active member of the Widows Sons RG, and also a Shriner. He took great pride in that and raising money for the kids at Shriners Hospital.

He leaves behind his brothers and sisters in the wind, the motorcycle community that he loved and respected with his whole heart.

Jim was a truck driver for Orgill out of Sikeston for many years where he was thankful for his work family.

He enjoyed many things, but fishing with his grandsons and playing golf with his son would be at the top of that list. He thoroughly enjoyed teasing his daughter-in-law about what he and the boys were going to do. The boys loved riding the side by side with Pawpaw, where he would teach them life lessons, most of the time things they didn't need to know.

He liked to have goals and was so happy to mark one off of his "Bucket" list last year when he rode the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee.

Anything was possible when Jim was around. He was a character, to say the least and always the life of the party. Anyone who knew him has a story to tell. You couldn't help but to laugh when he was around. He will be greatly missed by all.

In closing, and in some of Jim's favorite sayings...

"Til I see you again... What could possibly go wrong?"

Family will receive friends, Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 3-4pm at the VFW in Cape Girardeau.  A Masonic service will be held at 4pm at the VFW, followed by a Celebration of Life Service.
