James Hitchcock

James Allen Hitchcock, 75, of Millersville passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1946, in Delta, son of Sylvester and Imogen King Hitchcock. He and Karen Seabaugh were married September 24, 1966, at Caney Fork Baptist Church in Daisy.

Jim worked at Proctor and Gamble for over 29 years, retiring in 2002. From 1980 to 2006 he had the pleasure of being part of the farming operation of Seabaugh, Hitchcock, and McLane. He was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church. Jim was a simple man. He loved farming, hunting, going to shooting matches, camping with friends, and attending church camp.

Loving survivors include his wife of 55 years, Karen Hitchcock of Millersville, a daughter, Kimberly (Toby) Cook of Millersville, and a granddaughter, Deana Cook (Dylan Maloney) of Millersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Ellie Breckenridge.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 11 am to 2 pm in Chapel B at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will follow, at 2 pm, Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.

Interment will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery in Daisy.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Caney Fork Cemetery Fund or Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center in Cape Girardeau.

Jim's family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and technicians at Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center in Cape Girardeau who provided such diligent and kind care to him.
