James Howard Lambert, 56, of Fruitland, passed away Wed. Dec. 27, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 4, 1961 in Carbondale, IL, son of Howard and Dena LaDonne Lane Lambert. He and Sudena Carriger were married Sept. 26, 1987 in Carbondale, IL.
James was a dedicated family man and a hard working driver for SEMO Ready Mix. He enjoyed fishing, but more important to him was the opportunity to coach both softball and soccer for Shelby and JAYF football for Tanner.
Loving survivors include his wife Sudena, his mother Dena LaDonne Lambert of Marion, IL a son Tanner Lambert of Fruitland, a daughter Shelby Lambert and (William Downey) of Fruitland, three sisters, Marilyn Tolar of Dayton, OH, Cynthia Yusko (Jim) of Gilbertsville, KY and Lori Lam (Jon) of Makanda, IL, as well as two grandsons Brayden and Seth Downey of Fruitland.
He was preceded in death by his father Howard and his father and mother in law Jim and Wanda Carriger.
The visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm on Saturday, Dec, 30 at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The memorial service will be at 2 pm at the funeral home with his nephew Pastor Eric Lam and Rev. Mike Parry officiating.
Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home.
The family suggests that contributions be made to American Lung Association.
