James “Jim” Penrose

James A. Penrose, 66, of Jackson passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home.

He was born January 24, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, son of James D. and Alene Alford Penrose.

James was a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. He received certification in combination welding in 1970 and also received membership in the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers in 1979.

Loving survivors include his mother, two daughters, two sons, nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 in chapel B of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, he will be cremated.

The family suggests that contributions be made to Southeast Hospice Grace Fund.
