James Albert Turnbough

James "Jim" Albert Turnbough, 68, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his residence.

Jim was born August 6, 1954, in Perryville, son of Arthur and Evelyn Eichorn Turnbough.

Jim was a 1972 graduate of Perryville High School. He worked for Central Packing in Cape Girardeau, Fruitland Dressed Meats, and then he began his own timber business, Highland Timber Company in Jackson.

Survivors include, a wife, Evelyn of Jackson; three children, Kyle Turnbough of Old Appleton, Kayla (Daniel) Clauss of St. Louis, and Kendra Turnbough of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, Adison, Jameson, Alison, and Emerson Clauss; and three sisters, Bonnie (Neil) Geringer of Perryville, Mary Ann Zoellner of Jackson, and Joyce Reimer of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Glen (Anna Dean) Turnbough and Kenneth Turnbough; three sisters, Brenda Sue Turnbough, Carol Wahlers, and Janet (Clarence "Bobby") Meyer.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11 AM at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
