Janet Charlotte Wilson, 78, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home north of Jackson.
She was born January 1, 1947, in Pasadena, California, the daughter of Dwayne and Lois Polen Fairchild.
On December 8, 1969, she married Tommy “Joe” Wilson.
Janet was a graduate of Reeds Spring High School in Reeds Spring, Missouri. Following their marriage, Janet and Joe resided in Branson, Missouri. They moved to Cape Girardeau in 1990, where together they owned and operated the Branson Booking Center and Money Time Pawn Shop. Janet also served on the Board of Directors for the SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence (SADI). In her free time, she especially enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Joe Wilson; a son, Daniel Wilson of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Quentin Wilson; two step-sons, Gregory Joe Dailey and Christopher Shawn Dailey; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Dwayne Fairchild and Roberta Walter.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Eric Laffoon will conduct the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
