Jeaniece Reimer

Jeaniece D. Reimer, 79, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born February 27, 1937, in Shawneetown, Missouri, to Arthur and Loraine Schlimpert Fiedler. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown. She was a 1955 graduate of Jackson High School; and a 1958 graduate of the Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis. She then worked 14 years as a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Jeaniece and Dr. Donald R. Reimer were married April 1, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown. They first resided in Topeka, Kansas, returning to the Cape Girardeau area in 1980. They had been married 20 years when Dr. Reimer passed away July 11, 1992.

Jeaniece had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson since 1985.

Loving survivors include three siblings, Eugene (Carolyn J.) Fiedler of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Carolyn L. Fiedler and Cherlyn L. (Dennis) Parham of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Megan D. (Todd) Marchi and sons Sutton and Cullen of Jackson, Joshua S. (Tatianna) Parham of Jackson, Phyllis (Jeff) Mortenson and family, Dave (Cheryl) Weise and family all of Wisconsin.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Carol C. Fiedler; and a sister, Charlene K. Clark.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 9 a.m. to service time, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

The funeral will be Thursday, at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating.

Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

If wishing to give a memorial, the family suggests contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church or School; or Lutheran Family and Children's Services.
