Jeff Scott Hanners

Jeffery Scott Hanners, 57, of Jackson, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home in Jackson. He was born April 6, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Scotty and Ladine Davenport Hanners. Jeffery was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked for Procter and Gamble for 21 years retiring in 2017. Jeffery was an avid Nascar fan; he also loved deer hunting. His greatest joys were watching Katie compete in track and Ashley in dance. Loving survivors include two daughters, Katie and Ashley Hanners of Jackson; his mother Ladine Hanners Gateley of Gravel Hill, Missouri; two siblings, Mike (Tammy) Hanners of Jackson and Brenda Hanners of Cape Girardeau; a nephew, Miles Hanners of Henryetta, Oklahoma and a niece, Alicia Hanners of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in Hurricane Fork Cemetery in Marble Hill.
