Jeffrey Lynn Smith

Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Smith, age 62, of Jackson, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born February 25, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, son of Dean and Sharon Elizabeth Schwartz Smith.

Jeffrey was a 1976 graduate of Jackson High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and had worked many years at Havco Wood Products in Scott City.  One of Jeffrey’s greatest enjoyments was fishing with his dad.

Loving survivors include his father, Dean Smith of Chaffee, Missouri; a sister, Cindy (Albert) Sadler of Jackson; a brother, Robert (Jan) Smith of Cape Girardeau; his girlfriend, Cindy Allen of North Carolina; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Smith and two nephews, B.J. Smith and Aaron Sadler.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.  Jeff will be laid to rest at the foot of his mother’s grave.

Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson to help defray funeral costs.
