Jerry Ray Pierson

Jerry R. Pierson, 67, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home. He was born March 11, 1957, in Murphysboro IL, son of Clayton and Lela Elmore Pierson. He and Betty Maronde-Collier were married on May 9, 2015. Jerry served in the Illinois National Guard for 10 years. He was an over the road truck driver for 30 years. Jerry was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. Loving survivors include his wife, Betty of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Beulah (Ray) Bonner of Frostproof, Fl and Esther Park of Murphysboro, IL; two brothers, George (Mary Jo) Pierson of Gorham, IL and Roger Pierson of Murphysboro, IL; stepson, John Kisner Jr of Rochelle, IL; stepdaughter, Jody (John) Tibbs of Jackson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Bethel Assembly Church of God in Cape Girardeau.

The Celebration of Life will be at 12pm on Saturday, June 15,2024, at the church, with the Rev. Phil Roop officiating with full military honors following the service. Interment will be private. The family suggests that contributions be made to the family for necessary expenses.
