Jessie Ackman

Jessie Isadora Ackman, 96, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Frontier Health and Rehabilitation Center in Saint Charles.

She was born September 22, 1920, in Millersville, daughter of Jesse and Desdia Stroder Sander. She and Leslie "Les" Ackman were married April 3, 1939. He passed away October 5, 1977.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Jewel Farris of Saint Charles, Missouri; a brother, Donald Sander of Millersville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years; a daughter, Marilyn Marquart; six sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 12:00 pm until service time at Haynes Chapel in Millersville.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, at the church, with Rev. Jerry Sander officiating.

Interment will follow in Haynes Chapel Cemetery in Millersville.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson are in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Haynes Chapel Cemetery.
