Jimmy "Jim" Alexander Campbell Higginbotham, 89, of Jackson passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 28, 1935, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, son of Louis and Iva Burgess Higginbotham. He and Norma Ann Kroeger were married on December 4, 1954, in St. Louis. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Jim served in the Missouri National Guard. Loving survivors include his wife of 70 years, Norma; his children, Sherry Higginbotham, Mike (Jennifer) Higginbotham and Karen (Vito) Domench; grandchildren, Rob Rasmussen, Megan Rasmussen, JB (Dakota Fry) Higginbotham and Clayton (Chad Fox) Higginbotham; sister-in-law, Susan Lingle Jearls; nieces, Rosemary Sheilds, Terry Torretti, Catherine Quest Salvatore, Debbie Price and Kim Wurth and nephews, Steve and Billy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill, Ernie and Don and nephews, Donny and Billy. The memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
