Joann Rose Ulrich, 88, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born May 16, 1937, in Laflin, Missouri, to Joseph and Florence Vandeven Stoverink. She and William "Bill" R. Ulrich were married April 12, 1958. Three children were born to their union: Bob, Randy, and Stephanie. They had been married nearly 50 years when Bill passed away March 24, 2008.
Joann's employment included the Jackson Hosiery Mill and Blair Industries, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality, and was faithful to pray the Rosary three times daily. She was passionate about caring for her family, gardening, canning, and cooking. Her specialty was Chicken and Dumplings. And she always kept a big jar of M&M's for the great-grandchildren.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her children, Bob (Lori) Ulrich of Shawneetown; Randy (Denise) Ulrich of Perryville; Stephanie (Eric) Bradshaw of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren: Blake (Chelsea) Ulrich; Whitney (Travis) Glueck; Erika Bradshaw; Alexis (Brian) Ulen; Bridget (Matt) Moore; Brooks (Allison) Bradshaw; and Matthew Ulrich; great-grandchildren: Aubree, Isabella, Bryleigh, Brody, Tessa, Beckett, Brielle, Brynn, Tyson, Chandler, Gemma, Ella, Britton, Oaklee, and Ledger; siblings, Norbert (MaryCatherine) Stoverink of St. Peters, Missouri; Marian (late Roy) Brugger; and a sister-in-law, Pat (late Harold) Stoverink.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Harold Stoverink.
Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish Prayers will be shared at 3 p.m., immediately followed by the Rosary.
Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
