John Mark Baker

John Mark Baker, 62, of Marble Hill, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 24, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to John and Doris Peel Baker.

Mark was a 1972 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked 40 years as a line electrician for the City of Jackson. In his younger years, he attended First Baptist Church.

Loving survivors include four children, Brandon (Alisha) Baker of Marble Hill, Missouri, Kia (Sean) Bomar of Jackson, John "J.J." Baker and Megan Baker both of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren, Quentin, Aaron, Tristan, Angelina, Kaydence, Braedon, Madison, Alissa, Christa, Bertie, Travell, and Arieanna; three siblings, Mike (Joyce) Baker and Mitchell (Terry) Baker of Jackson, Marsha (the late Gordon) Bisher of St. Louis; and his stepfather, Max Amos.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles "Mack" Baker.

To celebrate Mark's life, friends are invited to an informal gathering on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the VFW Hall in Cape Girardeau.
