John “Jb” Biri

John C. "JB" Biri, 72 of Topeka, Ks and formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. He was born October 25, 1944 in Jackson, the son of John and Alma T. Christy Biri Sr.

John was a graduate of Jackson High School. He moved to Topeka, KS in 1963. He was employed by Walmart in Topeka, Ks. Previous professions included construction worker, taught building trades at Topeka Women's Correctional Facility, and he had owned and operated JB Trucking Company and JB Maintenance and Repair. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. His true passion was riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his three children, Penny Mulford of Topeka, KS, Sandy Mulford of Carbondale, KS, and John L. Biri of Jackson; a sister, Betty (Roy) Evans of Jackson; his first wife Peggy Hendrix; his second wife, Lilla Love-Lee and her daughters, Veronica Fischer of Tecumseh, KS and Stephanie Osler of Sahuarita, AZ;

Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mike Biri.

A memorial service was previously held in Topeka, KS.

A graveside committal service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
