John Henry Ervin

John Henry Ervin, 75, of Bloomfield died Monday, July 1, 2024, at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 13, 1949, in rural Daisy to Harry Wilburn and Mazie "Marie" Ervin. Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Roper of Bloomfield; son, Jack (Tasha) Ervin of Advance; daughter, Jacqueline (Michael) Hammond of St. Charles; four brothers, Louie Ervin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and James Ervin, Loyd Ervin and Joe Ervin, all of Cape Girardeau; sister, Lorene Burford of Scott City; and grandchildren, Justin Ervin, Joshua Ervin, Jordi Provance, Brittney Clark, Blake Roper, Brandon Roper, Andrew Hammond and Henry Ervin. John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence Ervin; sisters, Janetta Sachse, Irene Spinner and Loretta Brown; and daughter, Tami McCollom. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Burial will immediately follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).
