Joseph Hercik

Joseph Frank Hercik, 73 of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 after battling several illnesses. Joe was born January 6, 1950 in Elgin, Illinois the son of Frank and Bernice Georgette Fritz Hercik. He married Beverly Ann Hahs October 17, 1970 in Elgin. They later moved to the Cape Girardeau area where Joe became employed at Ford Groves Auto dealership for 27 years. The last several years of his employment he was the assistant sales manager. Joe had been an active member of the Jackson Jaycees and had served as the commissioner of the St Louis region of the Boy Scouts of America. Loving survivors include his wife of 52 years, Beverly; three sons, Joseph (Joli) Hercik Jr. of Elgin, Jason Hercik and Justin Hercik both of Jackson; three grandchildren, Cadence, Brody and Nora. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and a sister. There will be a private family burial. Arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
