Juanita V. Holloway, age 91, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Marble Hill, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born August 31, 1925, in Whitewater, daughter of Sylvester and Fannie Slover Crader. She and Harold "Tom" Holloway were married April 22, 1950. He passed away December 20, 2003.

Juanita attended Delta Schools. In her early years, she worked at the old shoe factory on Main Street in Cape Girardeau and later at Bond Nursing Home in Marble Hill. She loved quilting, crocheting, gardening and was a fantastic cook. Juanita was a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother of seven children. Her grandkids and great-grandkids held a special place in her heart and in her life.

Loving survivors include a son, Larry Holloway of Burfordville; two daughters, Judy Beattie of Burfordville and Doris (Randy) Woods of Benton, Missouri; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Rodney, Allen and Ivan Holloway, and a daughter, Wanda Varney.

The visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 in chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.

Interment will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

The family suggests that contributions be made to Southeast Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
