Julaina "Jenny" (Volz) Hargraves

Julaina "Jenny" Hargraves, 92, of Jackson passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

Jenny was born October 14, 1930, in Landers Ridge, daughter of George Franklin and Flora Matthew (Asher) Volz. She and Billy D. Hargraves were married April 14, 1953.

Jenny was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson.

In addition to her loving husband of 69 years, Jenny is survived by two sons, Randy (Linda) Hargraves and Danny (Debbie) Hargraves both of Jackson; two grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Hargraves of Hanibal, Mo and Danah (Robert) Brandel of Benton, Mo; four step-grandchildren, Jesse Hargraves of Shawneetown, Jerry (Trickey) of Jackson, Michelle Lafaye of Winnetka, Il, and Regi (Antonia) Lafaye of Sandpoint, Id; three siblings, E.E. "Sonny" (Gayla) Volz, Loretta (late Charles) Wilson and Retha (Ralph) Morton; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and their spouses, George "Everett" (Drucille) Volz, Dollie (E.W. "Bud") Sawyer, Eulalia (Charles) McCanless, Wanda Lee (Gilford) Riebold, Leavada (J.P) Daniels, and Calvin Elson (Linda) Volz; and four young siblings, Flora Dorothy Volz, Eldon Franklin Volz, Kenneth Donald Volz, and infant baby girl Volz, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 9:30 am until time of service at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Funeral service at 11:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hargraves officiating. Burial will follow in Russel Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church in Jackson.
