Margaret June Jaco, 89, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born June 1, 1933, in Galena, Kansas, to Ralph E. and Leola Holding. June’s parents died when she was small and she was raised by her brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Veda Holding, in Antioch, California.
June and Clarence “Pete” Jaco were married June 23, 1951, in Antioch. June was a devoted, energetic wife and mother. She and Pete had been married 64 years when Pete passed away September 13, 2015.
June was a member of Gospel Life Church in Jackson and a former member of First Baptist Church in Jackson. She loved watching her kids and grandkids participate in all their sporting and extracurricular activities. She also enjoyed sitting on her front porch, visiting with her friends, which June referred to as the “Front Porch Society”.
Loving survivors include four children, Mike (Susan) Jaco of Whitewater, Missouri; Richard “Dick” (late JoAnn) Jaco of Jackson, Pat (Roger) Schwab of Jackson; and George (Ginger) Jaco of Gordonville; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and five sisters.
Visitation is from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2022, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. June’s grandson, the Rev. Greg Schwab, will conduct the funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
