Kateri Ruch

Kateri Ann "Teri" Ruch, 54, of Daisy passed away November 7, 2015 at her home.

She was born July 30, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leo Francis and Anna Marie Wubker Horrell. She and Matthew Ruch were married November 6, 1982.

Teri graduated in 1979 from Leopold High School. She attained her certification from Cape Career and Technology Center in 1982 as an LPN. Teri worked 33 years as a nurse in geriatric care. She and Matt attended New Salem United Methodist Church at Daisy. Teri enjoyed assisting and organizing local charity events for St. Jude Children Research Hospital. She also enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening, canning, her mules and her horses. Teri's passion was being "Nanny" to her granddaughter Brynna.

Loving survivors include her husband, Matt of 33 years; two daughters, Mindy (Justin) Petzoldt of Jackson and Emily Ruch of Biehle; a son, Petty Officer 1st Class Ryan Ruch of San Diego, California; a granddaughter, Brynna Petzoldt; three brothers, Aaron (Paula) Horrell of Chaffee, Dennis (Pam) Horrell of Leopold, and Joe Horrell of Glennon; five sisters, Bernice (John) Springer, Judy (Jim) Sander of Jackson, Shirley (Larry) Schott of Millersville, Gladys (Bob) Hency of Cape Girardeau, and Barbara Engelen of Leopold; a sister-in-law, Nancy Horrell of Cape Girardeau; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Norman Horrell.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at 10 am, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Koerner officiating.

Interment will follow in New Salem Methodist Church Cemetery in Daisy.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Salem Methodist Church.
