Kathleen M (Bowers) Dickey

Kathleen M. “Katy” Dickey, 101, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 31, 1919, in Dexter, Missouri, to the late Dewey B. and Leona Cox Bowers. She was employed at Woolworths in Cape Girardeau for 34 years and was a member of Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She is survived by a daughter, JoDonna (Gene) Windeknecht; a son, F. Michael (Linda) Dickey; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a son, Jerry Rich. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. The family sends a special thanks to the Lutheran Home 400 unit and Lutheran Home Hospice for the care of their mother. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor’s choice. McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
