Kathy (Camden) Green

Carole Kathleen “Kathy” Green, 83, of Sedgewickville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 16, 1941, in Troy, North Carolina, to Robert G. “Golden” and Beulah Estep Camden.  The church of Kathy’s childhood was West End Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, also the church of her marriage to James “Jim” Green on May 25, 1962.

Kathy was a 1959 graduate of Jackson High School.  She attended cosmetology school in Jackson and worked several years as a stylist, later devoting her full attention to homemaking and partnering with her daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann, at Through the Years Antique Shop in uptown Jackson.

Kathy and Jim were longtime active members of Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson.

To cherish her memory, Kathy leaves her husband of 62 years, Jim Green of Sedgewickville; children, Susan (Rick) Floyd, Mike (Leigh Ann) Green, and Tonya (Rob) Coleman; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Harold, Nellie, Robert, and David.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.  Ethan Dye and Ryan Foltz will conduct the funeral service at 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery near Sedgewickville.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Kidney Foundation.
