Kay Xayarath

Kay Xayarath, 75, of Marble Hill passed away peacefully at her home Monday, Oct. 5, 2026. She was born July 15, 1951.

Kay is survived by her husband, Vy Xayarath; her children, Thongsy (Brian) Brown, Boutsady (Christian) Xayarath-Young, Mary Xayarath, Kathy (Marcus) Painton and Jesse Xayarath; and her grandchildren.

Kay worked for many years in the restaurant industry before later working for the Woodland School District. She enjoyed gardening, fishing with Vy at Lake Girardeau and, most of all, cooking for her family.

No public services will be held. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date with immediate family.

Kay will be remembered for her love of family, her generous spirit and the many ways she brought people together around her table.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
