Kenneth Kirk

Kenneth V. Kirk, 64, of Jackson, passed away at Ratliff Care Center on Saturday, March 14, 2015, after a five year battle with a rare form of cancer.

He was born July 11, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Shelby and Alene Boyer Kirk. He and Veronica L. Allen were married May 3, 1975, at Guardian Angels Church in Oran, Missouri.

Kenneth was a 1969 graduate of Cape Central High School where he excelled in sports. He especially loved football and golf. He received a BS degree in Physical Education from Southeast Missouri State University.

He worked many years for Cape Auto Pool and later worked eleven years as a route salesman for Wiethop Truck Sales until early retirement.

He was a member of Kimbeland Country Club and was the 2003 Club Champion.

Loving survivors include his wife of 39 years, Veronica of Jackson; a sister, Sharon (Mike) Bader of St. Louis; and a nephew, Drew (Stacey) Bader and their children of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with Kenny's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with Rev. John Harth, celebrant. Private burial will be held at a later date.
