Kenneth James Wendel, 59, of Jackson, Missouri entered the heavenly kingdom to join his fellow super heros on September 6th, 2026 at Saint Francis Hospital. Born to the late Ray Sr. and Ada (Schlosser) Wendel in Jackson, Missouri.
Super Ken was an organ donor and blessed three individuals upon his passing - a true giver, with a caring soul and larger than life personality. He was one of a kind. He would fill a room with joy and an impression on people's hearts - making friends anywhere he went
Kenneth achieved numerous accomplishments throughout his life, to name a few - he was well versed in martial arts at Ata Legends, where he gained many medals.
Super Ken enjoyed life and living it to the fullest; he loved Superman, singing - especially Johnny Cash songs, camping, traveling to Branson, being a part of Freedom Fellowship Church, making memories at Pickn' Porch Grill, and Presley's Jubilee. Comic cons were where he mingled amongst his fellow super hero enthusiasts, and spending quality time with his close-knit family and beloved service dogs - Gypsy, Bella-Boo, and Sochi.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sibling: C R (Ray Jr) Wendel, Cousins: Bruce Slinkard, and Ronnie Slinkard; Nephew: Gavin Silver, Grandparents: John & Ida Wendel, August and Lizzie Schlosser, Aunt: Elizabeth (Lissel) Slinkard, Uncle: William (Bill) Slinkard, Joseph Schlosser, and his cherished service dogs, Gypsy and Bella-Boo.
Ken is survived by; his caring sister and brother-in law, Donna (Barry) Eggimann (Wendel), Michael and Andrea Wendel, and loving family pets, Cookie and Maddie.
In the brave words of Kenneth, "Jesus Knows."
To commemorate Kenneth's life, a visitation will be held Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at 10:00 am at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Missouri. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will conclude at Lightener Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri.
